FLEET SERVICES was the preferred repair contractor for the damaged LNG tanker M.T. KINNA. Four major cargo lines were replaced in full, in location, whilst the vessel was loaded with cargo. All repairs were done at the anchorage in a timely, efficient and safe manner.
This project was completed over a 2 day period to fasten the semi-submersible drilling rig to the deck of the heavy lift ship for a voyage to Singapore for repairs.
FLEET SERVICES was chosen as the preferred workshop to remove a damaged cargo crane following an accident in port. The crane was disassembled, landed and stored for further examination. As detailed in the photos the slew bearing was split to confirm the extent of damage.
FLEET SERVICES was called upon to assess and re-instate circuit breakers to the main switchboard of a vessel that had experienced a blackout after a major fault.
During a scheduled layup of a container vessel, FLEET SERVICES was required to remove the main engine gearbox for assessment and repair via an opening into the cargo hold. All work completed within time and budget.
FLEET SERVICES was called upon at short notice to investigate cracks to a rudder and resolve outstanding issues. This involved locating the source of cracks and then repair to GL Class requirements, approved weld procedures were used for plate inserts and repairs to the rudder's casting.
FLEET SERVICES were the sole contractor engaged to remove all sea fastenings & dynamic cradle structures to ensure the safe and efficient float off of the Royal Australian Navy's HMAS Canberra hull that was transported to Geelong.
